 Still continuing from my previous post on “Keeping up with the Bitches” (referring to she dogs, read that previous post to better understand my reasoning here) I am still trying to understand why dog fashion designers are or for whom they are dressing dogs up like women? I personally don’t like wearing clothes that is worn by everybody else, and I mean other women, definitely not dogs, most women don’t. I always love fashion and sewing. I can get a high just browsing through fabric stores looking at the various types of fabrics and imagining how a dress or outfit will look like if made from such. Sewing or any craft is like theraphy to me.

Or I watch the Award Shows mostly to check out the latest styles the Stars are wearing, and before throwing out any fashion catalogs coming in my mailbox I make tear sheets of the pages of the new trends I like for reference as it is my dream some day to have my own line of clothing, for people, not dogs.  Maybe my love of clothes and fashion is because I am a designer, and I have been designing and sewing my own clothes since I was about 17 years old. A skill my mother taught me, whom I believe was one of the most elegant women I have seen, and a stickler for dressing well. (See post on “A Mother like No Other”) 

Like most creative people I am very observant of everything around me, this is how I get ideas for creating anything. No doubt that is the reason I named my line of Unique Greeting Cards “Observations” (to be found at: www.adnelg-creations.com). So now you understand why I would be curious about all these fashions for dogs. These days when  shopping for fabric, I have to ask myself: “I hope no bitch out there is wearing this already”. Or if going somewhere special, “I wonder what the bitches will be wearing.” (Remember I am talking about she dogs, animals). 

And if some people think dogs look cute dressed like women, it can’t be to attract male dogs. A animal dog only knows how to hump his she dog when in heat. So you think he is going to say to her: “Hey, Baby–Doggie-Dear, you look real fine in that dress, I can’t wait to peel it off you to start humping”. No, real dogs can’t reason like people, to him she probably looks strange with this extra exotic hair covering. He doesn’t know that they are man made clothes, or how to take them off. And her panties to? These are only a hindrance to a male animal dog.   

Even the little bitch (pooch) herself doesn’t understand what she is wearing. A dog can’t walk into a Pet Store and pick out a doggy dress and buy it.  So it is their owners that are selecting these clothes and dressing them up in. And I am sure it takes a lot of resistance on the part of the dog to get these clothes on.  They must have to put up a fight because they can’t understand why they are being put on extra hair or fur covering.(That is what clothes would be to them). 

Women clothes today have become very revealing and skimpy. You see how most of these singers and dancers on national TV Shows and stage wearing practically nothing but underwear? Or tight fitting body suits with every crease and crack showing? And their bent over body movements, like animals having sex on stage. I don’t understand why they just don’t come out naked? They might as well, there is nothing left to the imagination.  So some women are taking their clothes off, while we are putting them on dogs?  Is this what the dog designers are trying to say to these female skimpy dressers? “Hey, look the bitches are wearing clothes now, take a lesson from them and put your clothes back on!” Maybe that is one of the lessons behind the fashions for she pooches. 

Or it could be dogs are being dressed up like women to fulfill the emotional and sexual fantasies and to attract human dog perverts? Don’t be surprised. Didn’t we see what happened when little girls started being dressed up like women? Fashions for little girls as young as kindergarten goers changed from children’s clothes to that of adults. Little girl’s clothes now are extremely short, skimpy and revealing just like grown women. Swimwear also for young girls consists of very skinny bikinis with spaghetti straps barely covering their not even developed private parts, and breasts.

And what about the little girls being pushed into Beauty Pageants dressed and made up like grown women? Some children look older than they really are because of the way they are dressed. It is common to see some young girls dressed like they are going to a strip tease club, or much too attractive for their ages. And some mothers actually think this is cute? Dressing your young daughters up to resemble grown women or sex objects before their time is cute?? I don’t think all mothers believe this. 

With this change in fashions for young girls, or children, didn’t we also see an increase in pedophiles, child molesters, and child pornography? Provocative dressing children (young girls) up creates an idealized sexual image of a mature woman in the body of a child. It plays directly into the perverted sexual fantasy of pedophiles, whom will use any opportunity to carry out their fantasies. They could be our next door neighbors, we just don’t know until the opportunity strikes. 

Women have always been the brunt of most abuse or sexual fantasy. Some men still believe that we are just sex objects, because some women give them reasons for believing that by their conduct and the way they carry themselves. Look at the time when transvestites became popular. According to the dictionary’s description of a transvestite “it is a male who adopts the dress and behavior of the opposite sex for purposes of emotional or sexual gratification” at the same time humiliating or mocking women.   So don’t you think this could be one of the same things that is happening with dressing up bitches (dogs) like real women?  

No matter how much we love them, dogs are low down four footed animals basically available to be humped by their dog counterpart whenever he is in heat, according to their dog nature.  Dressing them up in women’s wear isn’t an idealized sexual image of a woman also being created in the body of a dog, at the same time debasing, and disrespecting women? And isn’t this done for purposes of emotional or sexual gratification? Did you notice the poses of some of these dogs in the picture examples, both in this post and the previous one? Whom got them to pose like that highlighting their sexual parts? Don’t be shocked!   

 We know for sure it is not to attract animal dogs. And most normal women don’t think this is cute at all. It is unnatural, and anything that is unnatural is a perversion that originates and plays on the fantasy minds of sick perverts! It could be both men and women. Do your research and you will see how much dog and human sex is taking place out there! That’s right, humans having sex with dogs, and other animals. We probably will never know how much of this sick debased conduct is taking place, since dogs cannot talk, and cannot reveal whom or how they are being abused! Or maybe there is no law against this kind of abuse yet, unlike that of young children.   

Well, ofcourse we all have the freedom and choice to do whatever we want or to dress our dogs up or not. So do the Dog Fashion Designers and all the perverts promoting their debasement of women. Women also have the choice to dress appropriately so as not to give people the wrong impression of whom they are.  

Then again some people don’t see anything perverted about anything at all these days. But depending on what choices we make we are contributing toward the sinking moral climate that is all around us, and is hurting everybody especially the younger generation whom are following into our footsteps.   

Because animals and humans are two distinctly different species, we should never compare or put ourselves on the same level with them, not even dogs, our pets.

We are superior than animals, and have our own place and purpose in life, and need to keep it, so do the animals.  The power to control the leashes of fashion or anything else is in the hands of humans. Women should never have to worry about competing or keeping up with the bitches (she dogs).

Now let me first make it very clear that I am talking about She Dogs. Bitch is the proper English word for she dog (s). I don’t know when the word began to be used to describe a very nasty, malicious, dominant woman, because even some she dogs don’t have very nasty personalities at all. Some of these pooches are very obedient lovable creatures, with acceptable animal dispositions. Nowadays they are into almost everything, that it is becoming hard for us women to keep up with them. 

Dogs have been called man’s best friends for years, but now many women also own dogs, so they likewise can be called the same for women.  Some women even refer to their little pooches as “daughters”. Many women living alone have dogs as pets, and they are well taken care off. They serve people in many ways, as companions, service dogs, security guards, or protectors, seeing aids for the blind, yes dogs are very useful animals or pets to have around, and if taken care off, can live for many years.

Several weeks ago we read in the news about Chanel, a dashshund, whom celebrated her 21^st birthday, which equals 147 in human years. She is considered to be the world’s oldest dog. She looked quite good for her age, she eats wholesome foods, both for her body and her teeth. 

You can find dogs playing starring roles in movies, shows, while some women actors can’t get a part in movies or shows. There are health food stores devoted to the nutritional needs of these animals, everything from vitamins and minerals to special foods, to grooming products. I agree that we should be concerned about their general health and care. That is part of our duty to take care of animals. But what I don’t see the need for is the whole line of fashions for dogs. Years ago we could only find dog collars and leashes which is useful, and they were just ordinary leather type belts or other material that we put around their necks.

But even they have become very fancy and attractive.  I have seen some dogs with diamond collars around their necks, while many women can’t afford a diamond necklace, or bracelet. Fashions for dogs, especially she dogs (the bitches) include every imaginable clothing item that were formerly only produced for people. From the simple neck collar to all kinds of fancy fabric dresses, suits, coats, hats, shoes, boots, sunglasses, bathing suits, wedding gowns, yes even panties. One actress even said on TV that she might have her dogs in her wedding. This could be starting a new trend in having dogs as bridesmaid. Why? They are animals! 

I have included some pictures here of she dogs dressed like women. I am not advertising, promoting or condoning these fashions, they are just examples I have found that shows the ridiculous fashions out there for dogs, which were only once used for real human women. A few of these bitches are wearing dresses made from lace and satin. Do you know what kind of women used to wear lace and satin? These were the very feminine fabrics worn by upper class women, they were expensive fabrics. If you could afford to dress in lace and satin it showed you had class, good taste, and money. Does a dog have class and good taste?

One of the reasons why some women were called bitches was because of their low class nasty attitude and conduct. So what are these dog fashion designers saying by designing dresses for bitches (she dogs) made from these expensive very feminine fabrics and with the same designs that can be found for women? That dogs are now on the same level with women, or better than women? Are we now supposed to  compete with dogs in the fashion world? 

But what inspired me to write this was a couple of days ago, I got an email from a company advertising a line of 2 and 4 pieces bikinis for dogs. And it had a she dog standing up dressed in a two piece bikini! And the little bitch looked darn good to! Can you believe it, bikinis for dogs!  Who are these dog fashion designers anyway? What is really their motives in dressing she dogs up as women?  Are they trying to exploit, mock or humiliate women? Are they saying that all women are bitches, by putting dogs on the same level with women? Whom are the dogs supposed to attract? 

We know fully well that animals have their own God given clothes, they are not naked, their hair or fur is their clothing, and if kept well and groomed properly, they are beautiful as they are with their own natural covering. They don’t need any man made clothes. I can understand if a dog is old and sick, and has lost his hair or fur, a vet may recommend that he wears a coat, jacket, boots or use extra blankets to keep him or her extra warm if need to. But their bodies can adjust to changing weather temperatures, heat or cold depending on the season.   

 As summer approaches I know a lot of women are trying to lose some extra pounds so that they can look well in their bikinis, and to see a bitch with a bikini looking nice and trim, it sure makes you want to try real hard to look even better. If a dog can wear a bikini why shouldn’t you?  Ofcourse some people might think that dogs look cute dressed up like women. But looking cute for whom? Which normal woman wants her dog to look better or cuter than herself? Do we now have to plan on keeping up with the bitches?

We can tell spring has began as everywhere I walk these days stores are selling houseplants. Some hardware stores and others that usually don’t sell plants are now selling them. They have them out on the sidewalk in front of their stores so they can get the sun, and everyone can see them. 

If you are a plant lover like myself you can’t help stopping and admiring them, and checking the price of each one. Ofcourse, they are expensive these days. Even though my apartment is full of houseplants on every window sill, I am still trying to see where I can fit in another one. Some of them died, so I have to replace those by new ones.

Over the years I have learned a lot about the way plants behave, very much like people. Most of them don’t like being alone, they seem to be happier when in the company of other plants. They also add beauty to a room when grouped together with different varieties rather than all of the same kind. Once they get used to a location they don’t like moving to another place, just like me. I hate moving! Most people do. 

A couple of years ago I was living in a different apartment, and my kitchen had a big very sunny window to the east. I grew a lovely pink rose tree from a little shrub, until it grew tall, and bore beautiful pink roses. I can’t remember the name of the rose, but every morning when I entered the kitchen that rose tree on my kitchen window with its new roses just cheered me up. Everyday it was like a nice “Good Morning with a big smile” from that rose tree.

When I moved to my present apartment, I put that rose tree into my bedroom next to a window to the east, thinking that since it was still close to a east window it would do well. Also I wanted it to be a focal point of beauty in the room. To my surprise that rose tree went into a state of sadness, it stopped putting out new roses, started losing its leaves, started drooping. No matter what I did, it did not recover! Eventually it lost all its leaves and shriveled up and died! And I cried! My beautiful Pink Roses that greeted me every morning was dead, gone! I still keep the dried branches in a vase as decoration, along with some other dried flowers.

 On the other hand another small plant that I had on a window sill in that older apartment did not grow at all. No matter how much plant food, and sunlight I gave it, it remained the same, never grew. When I moved into this new apartment, I put it in my living room on the window sill to the south. Within a couple of months that plant started growing like crazy, it was almost like it was shouting: “I am so happy I am out of that place!” It was overjoyed to be in a different location. Now it has grown so tall, that it is hitting the top of the window sill, and I am afraid to cut it down, and replant it as it might died. 

A couple of other plants that were standing alone and hardly grew, did very well when put side by side with other plants. Some do very well in bright sunlight, others don’t like very bright light, some plants even suffer from sunburn, and wrinkle just like us! They let you know when they want very much light or not. One plant I took away from in front of the window and put it on a table not to far away. That plant literally turned toward the window and started stretching toward it, leaning on the side toward the light! It was as if he was yelling: “Take me back over there in front of the window, I don’t like it here”. It is amazing to see how they behave, they are really living things, and need much the same things as people.

They love to be talked to, and to be caressed. Don’t we also? And even seem to like music. Now you think I am going overboard, but I swear than when I play my CD’s or Radio they all seem to stand up straight and look happy! At night when we go to sleep so do our plants! That’s right, they sleep at night and wake up in the morning just like us.

Yes, house plants are good to have around. They add beauty to any room in a home, keeping the air clean, fresh, and healthy. You will not need any artificial air freshener. They have the capacity to cheer us up, and bring joy to the sick or the bereaved. The very act of caring for plants can relieve us of depression. That is the reason when we feel blue or down, and we go to a park and sit among the trees, we feel a lot better. They bring a sense of calm, peace, lift our spirits and get us back into a good mood, smiling again. They are now put in some offices, helping relieve people of the stress in making a living. 

So if you are a plant lover like I am, just remember that they behave very much like people. Just as we like to be treated right and loved, so do our plants. As long as you take good care of them, love them, pay attention when they speak through their actions, and move them around when they indicate that they don’t like one place or the other. Give them enough food, and water in moderation, light and the right environment, they will prosper, and help take your mind off of the many cares of the day!
